Being Windsor-based puts Jade inside half an hour of Bagshot, Virginia Water, Egham and Weybridge — and barely longer to Farnham, Woking or Chertsey. Wedding mornings run calm and unhurried, never caught out by the M25 or the Thames bridges. Trials happen at her Windsor studio, which is a short, easy run for brides coming in from across the county.
Surrey’s prep rooms vary more than most counties’. Great Fosters is historic and can run dark; Pennyhill’s bridal suite and the modern suites at The Runnymede are full of river and garden light. A look designed for one is not a look designed for the other, and Jade has worked in all of them.
From the Windsor studio, The Runnymede on Thames is ten minutes, Great Fosters and Fairmont Windsor Park fifteen, Pennyhill Park and Botleys Mansion twenty, Oatlands twenty-five and Gorse Hill thirty. Northbrook Park, down on the Farnham border, is the long one at forty. Jade will tell you the honest arrival time when you enquire.
Great Fosters’ Queen Anne Suite is beautiful and historic, and on a grey morning it is dark — Jade brings professional lighting so the makeup reads properly in photographs. Pennyhill’s bridal suite and The Runnymede’s riverside rooms have the opposite problem, and get a different approach entirely.
Northbrook Park is dry-hire and exclusive-use, so there is complete freedom over suppliers and timings — useful when a large bridal party needs an early start. Stay-on touch-up kits are left with you as standard, and Jade can stay through the day to refresh makeup before the ceremony and restyle hair for the evening.
