Gorse Hill
An elegant Edwardian mansion built in 1912, set within 17 acres of Surrey countryside on the edge of Woking. Gorse Hill combines the charm of a period country house with modern hotel facilities, including 67 guest bedrooms and a dedicated Garden Suite Ballroom for your reception.
Gorse Hill has a really lovely, homely feel despite being a grand Edwardian mansion — the staff are warm and welcoming, and there’s a real sense of being looked after from start to finish. Jade appreciates how accommodating the team here are with morning timings and access, which makes planning the bridal schedule straightforward.

Getting Ready
The bridal suite features a beautiful four-poster bed and a Juliet balcony overlooking the gardens — a lovely private spot for a quiet moment or a romantic photograph. Wedding packages include a room for the bride to prepare on the morning and a complimentary room the night before.
The Juliet balcony brings in wonderful natural light, which Jade loves for makeup application. There’s enough space for the bridal party to be together comfortably, and the peaceful garden views help set a calm, relaxed tone for the morning.
Capacity & Setting
Up to 90 guests Monday–Friday or 150 at weekends in the Garden Suite Ballroom. Full exclusive use of the entire venue is also available.
17 acres of peaceful parkland and gardens surrounding the Edwardian mansion, with the Juliet balcony and sweeping lawns offering beautiful backdrops. It’s a really peaceful setting that feels a world away from everything.

What to Expect on the Day
Jade will arrive at Gorse Hill with her full kit and a detailed schedule for your bridal party. She sets up in the bridal suite by the Juliet balcony to make the most of the natural light, and from that moment the morning just flows.
The Edwardian setting gives the morning a really elegant feel — there’s something special about getting ready in a room with so much character. Jade keeps everything running to time while you enjoy champagne and laughter with your bridesmaids.
She stays right through until you leave for your ceremony, making sure every detail is perfect and everyone feels their absolute best.

The four-poster bridal suite is charming and the Juliet balcony brings in wonderful natural light, making it a great spot for Jade to work. The staff are supportive and accommodating with morning timings, so there’s never any pressure to rush.
Gorse Hill is about 30 minutes from Windsor, and Jade always arrives with time to spare. She recommends staying the night before if you have a larger bridal party — waking up on-site means you can start getting ready as early as you need to without worrying about travel.
With 67 bedrooms on-site, most of your guests can stay over too, which creates a really lovely house-party atmosphere from the evening before right through to the morning after.
