Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and describes what information is collected when you use https://www.jadevictoria.net, how that information is used and the choices you have about your data. This policy was last updated in April 2026.

Data Controller

The data controller for this site is Jade Victoria, meaning Jade is responsible for deciding how and why she holds and uses your personal data. Contact details can be found on the Contact page.

What personal data we collect

Personal data is information about you by which you can be identified. When you enquire, book a service or use this website, Jade may collect:

  • Your name, email address, postal address, phone number and mobile number
  • Technical information about your device, such as your IP address (a numerical code identifying your device, which can indicate the country, region or city you are based in)
  • Your browsing history of content visited on the site, unique device ID, advertising ID and the browser used to access the content (only if you accept analytics or advertising cookies — see the Cookies section below)
  • Information relating to your personal circumstances and how you engage with Jade, for the purposes of fulfilling your enquiry or booking (for example, the date and location of your wedding or event)

No payment card details are collected, processed or stored through this website. Where payment is required for a booking, Jade will invoice you separately and payment is taken by bank transfer or in person; card details you provide in person go directly to the card reader or payment provider, not to Jade.

Special categories of data

Jade will not collect special categories of data — such as information about your race, political opinions, religion, health or sexual orientation — unless you have chosen to provide that information (for example, disclosing an allergy or skin condition relevant to your booking).

How we use your data

Your personal data is used to respond to enquiries, administer bookings, provide the services you have requested, process payment, and maintain reasonable business records. Jade does not sell, trade or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — and similar technologies to help the site function, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the effectiveness of advertising. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks you to choose which categories of cookies you are happy to allow. Your choice is remembered on your device and you can change it at any time using the small preferences icon at the bottom-left of any page.

Cookies fall into three categories on this site:

Strictly necessary

Required for the website to work correctly, including remembering your cookie preferences. These cookies do not track you and cannot be switched off. No consent is required for these under the PECR.

Analytics (optional — off by default)

If you accept the analytics category, Google Analytics 4 is used to collect anonymised statistics about how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people arrived. This helps improve the site over time. Cookies set include _ga and related Google Analytics cookies. Data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred outside the UK; Google provides safeguards under its standard contractual clauses. For more detail, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising (optional — off by default)

If you accept the advertising category, Google Ads is used to measure which of Jade's adverts led to enquiries and to show relevant ads to you on other websites. Cookies and identifiers set may include those from googleads.g.doubleclick.net and www.google.com, such as IDE, DSID, NID and _gcl_*.

Google Consent Mode

This site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Until you make a choice on the cookie banner, no advertising or analytics cookies are set. Google still receives basic, cookie-less pings so aggregated traffic can be measured in a privacy-preserving way, but no individual tracking takes place and no identifiers are stored on your device for advertising or analytics purposes. If you decline the optional categories, this cookie-less measurement continues; if you accept them, full measurement is enabled.

Managing or withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie preferences icon at the bottom-left of any page on this site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (such as images, videos or social feeds) from other websites. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited that website directly, and those third parties may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

How long we retain your data

Personal data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Typical retention periods are:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months from the date of enquiry, after which the records are deleted.
  • Booking and client records: up to 7 years after the event date, in line with HMRC requirements for business and financial records.
  • Website analytics data (Google Analytics): retained by Google for 14 months by default.
  • Google Ads measurement data: retained by Google for up to 540 days for conversion attribution.
  • Email correspondence: retained for as long as necessary to resolve your query, typically no longer than 24 months unless it relates to an active booking.

You may request deletion of your data at any time. Some records may need to be retained for legal or tax reasons even after such a request, but any data not required for those purposes will be deleted.

Your rights

Under the DPA and GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal data Jade holds about you, to ask for that data to be corrected or erased, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of having your personal data used for analysis, please contact info@jadevictoria.net.
